Here at Convinced Photography, we've spent the last few years traversing New England, capturing the soul of local eateries through our lens. During the height of the pandemic, when food delivery dominated, we found a unique way to support restaurants. Masked and prepared, we'd visit during off-hours, transforming entire spaces into our personal food photography studios. This vibrant shoot led us to JenJu Boba Tea on 12th State Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Owned by passionate locals, JenJu brings refreshing boba tea to the community, offering delivery, grab-and-go options, and – with the pandemic at ease – a welcoming in-store experience.  JenJu Boba Tea in Newburyport, Ma. But what truly captivated us was the dazzling spectrum of boba concoctions on offer. We reveled in the symphony of colors, from delicate pinks whispering sweetness to eye-popping purples bursting with boldness. Each drink, with its vibrant hues and layered textures, was a masterpiece waiting to be captured. A Feast for the Eyes (and Lens) Our mission was to translate the visual delight of JenJu's boba into stunning photographs. We used natural light to highlight the subtle variations in color – the soft glow of a pastel pink strawberry tea contrasting with the bold vibrancy of a blueberry creation. We're sharing a love letter to one of our long-time favorite spots for Mexican fare: Taco Escobar on Congress Street. This vibrant taqueria has been our go-to for delicious comfort food for years, perfect for a casual lunch, a late-night craving, or anything in between.    We had the pleasure of partnering with Taco Escobar to capture the atmosphere of their restaurant through stunning photography. We wanted to share a glimpse of their space with you, all these years after falling in love with their food!
Spring of 2021. Businesses everywhere were grappling with the "new normal" of the pandemic. Definitive Brewing in Portland, Maine, was no exception. Like many breweries, they faced the challenge of staying open while prioritizing the safety of their employees and patrons. We were honored to be chosen by Definitive Brewing to document this pivotal time. Our mission: to create a virtual tour and a collection of still images that showcased their commitment to both safety and customer experience.  Entrance to Definitive Brewing in Portland, Maine Celebrating Resilience: The pandemic threw a curveball at every business, and Definitive Brewing was no different. However, their commitment to safety and customer satisfaction shone through. Our photos aimed to capture this spirit of resilience – a testament to the strength of the Maine brewing community in the face of unprecedented challenges.   Highlighting Safety Measures: The photos captured the innovative ways Definitive Brewing adapted their space. We documented the implementation of outdoor seating areas, ensuring ample space for safe beer enjoyment. Images showcased the brewery's open-door policy, allowing fresh air to circulate and spacious interiors for ordering and socializing.  More Than Just Beer:
Through these images, we hoped to convey more than just the ability to enjoy a safe and delicious beer at Definitive Brewing. We aimed to showcase a company prioritizing the well-being of their staff and patrons while navigating a difficult time. Convinced Photography was honored to be part of United Way of Southern Maine's recent Day of Action! This summer event brings together volunteers from local businesses and pairs them with worthy non-profit organizations across Southern Maine. On this particular day, we documented the fantastic work of UNUM volunteers at Westbrook Middle School. Dozens of enthusiastic volunteers gathered early to transform the school's learning garden. Their mission: to create a welcoming and well-maintained space for future student gardeners.  UMUM employees volunteer with the United Way of Southern Maine at the Westbrook Middle School garden. As photographers, we're passionate about capturing moments where community, non-profits, and needs converge. We find immense power in documenting the act of people coming together to create positive change for their environment and neighbors. These actions, while seemingly small in the grand scheme, are the vital building blocks of a thriving planet and local community.
