Despite chilly weather, the holiday spirit warmed Monument Square at the Portland Downtown Tree Lighting! 2023

​Though the weather wasn't ideal, the community came together to celebrate the season. The festivities kicked off with a cozy crowd, but the square quickly filled with friendly faces – neighbors, families, and even generous business owners offering hot cocoa, popcorn, and other treats. 

​There was something for everyone: a live hockey game on the big screen, delicious eggnog courtesy of Hood, a sing-along with the cast of Frozen, awe-inspiring live ice sculptures, energetic Celtic dancers, and festive carolers.

The highlight of the evening, of course, was the lighting of the magnificent tree, sparkling with holiday cheer. People of all ages came together to experience the magic of the season.
