Senior year is a pretty cool time of the year. There is a great enjoyment in giving my photographic skills to students who want to capture this time of their lives in a portrait session with me.
For this particular portrait we chose a perfect day in August on the beach and we are so fortunate to have the beautiful coast of Maine as our natural backdrop. This graduate and her loved ones met me at Crescent Beach and we had such a great time in the groves and the bright blue waters of the Atlantic. One of the most important things I consider during the senior portrait photography session is the longevity of this moment. Everyone remembers their senior year and it’s important for the graduate and their loved ones to not only feel comfortable with me and my camera but to have a great time too. So as I photograph the graduates, lots of thought and care goes in before, during, and after the photography session. This consideration provides portraits that will be a remembrance of this time in their life and the accomplishments that have brought them here. I make sure to create the classic images that their family will enjoy, the trendy images that can be shared with friends now, and images that they will be proud to look back on 10 years from now. Cheers to the class of 2021! You can do it! For more images of portraits click here https://www.convincedphotography.com/portrait.html

Higher Grounds is one of the friendliest spots in the Old Port of Portland, Maine. We love stopping in for a coffee wherever we get the chance. On this particular day back in 2019, we switched hats from being patrons to now also having the honor of styling and photographing some of the goodies for their freshly launched delivery service. Here is just one example of the fun time we had. And to answer the question we are often asked, yes, we did order coffee afterwards and enjoyed every delicious sip!
One of the other forms of photography we enjoy is real estate. We consider it an honor to be trusted by the developers and management team to create the visual proof of all of the hard work and creativity the team has skillfully accomplished. Our images are the first ones a potential occupant sees. They spend time with each image contemplating and imagining themselves in the space long before they make an appointment to walk inside. If they are interested they will contact the agent. We acknowledge the tremendous responsibility we have in creating the perfect image, that says ‘this could be yours.’ Every image needs to provide just the right amount of information, appeal, and accuracy. So as we walk into a space, we start mapping out the photography locations, where we will set up our photographs from, what is the lighting doing for each room, and last but not least, we make sure the accent pillows are straight (personal pet peeve). We try to do all of this so that the viewer and the property team can have a great collection of images to view, take in, and share.
Portland, Maine has quickly become one of the restaurant capitals of the US. One of the most favored locations is Petite Jacqueline located just off Exchange Street in the famous Old Port area of Portland. Our photography session with Petite Jacqueline was incredible. Each dish was carefully plated and abundant with color and texture; of course the aroma of every dish stirred our appetites. We carefully considered the location of the table setting and created a delicate and bright image without any extra distractions. We hoped to give the dish a front and center view in the frame, the most important location. Here are a few of the images from that day:
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon; And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, They danced by the light of the moon, The moon, The moon, They danced by the light of the moon. The Owl and the Pussy-Cat (the last stanza) BY EDWARD LEAR The food inspired us, and we were in the creative flow. The afternoon of photographing and stylizing for Pizzarino in Portland, Maine has become one of the most memorable for us at Convinced Photography. There is a joyful anticipation of waiting for your food to arrive at your table. In a few moments the waiter turns the corner and comes over with a tray of delights. The perfect Italian ristorante experience continues on.
This is the feel we went for during the photography session for Pizzarino. We present a collection of images that will transport you from Portland, Maine directly to Italy. You will see so many fresh and carefully prepared dishes inspired from Milanese home cooking. We made sure to carefully stylize each dish like a gift placed right in front of you. This could be yours now! The images allow you to see the ingredients, the presentation, and portions. There is a small cast iron skillet that keeps the arancini perfectly warm. We also photographed a dessert that was a conically rolled sweet gnocchi filled with nutella. These are just a couple of items from the menu we photographed that afternoon. |
