Here at Convinced Photography, we've spent the last few years traversing New England, capturing the soul of local eateries through our lens. During the height of the pandemic, when food delivery dominated, we found a unique way to support restaurants. Masked and prepared, we'd visit during off-hours, transforming entire spaces into our personal food photography studios.

This vibrant shoot led us to JenJu Boba Tea on 12th State Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Owned by passionate locals, JenJu brings refreshing boba tea to the community, offering delivery, grab-and-go options, and – with the pandemic at ease – a welcoming in-store experience.

But what truly captivated us was the dazzling spectrum of boba concoctions on offer. We reveled in the symphony of colors, from delicate pinks whispering sweetness to eye-popping purples bursting with boldness. Each drink, with its vibrant hues and layered textures, was a masterpiece waiting to be captured.

Our mission was to translate the visual delight of JenJu's boba into stunning photographs. We used natural light to highlight the subtle variations in color – the soft glow of a pastel pink strawberry tea contrasting with the bold vibrancy of a blueberry creation.

Meat, it's what's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - the ultimate trifecta of deliciousness! For over 20 years, Convinced Photography has embarked on a culinary journey, capturing the essence of numerous restaurants across the United States. However, this particular assignment marked a remarkable first for us: photographing pre-cooked proteins in an extraordinary butcher shop boasting colossal cuts of meat. Throughout the exhilarating photography session, our skills were put to the test as we immortalized a tantalizing array of meats, including poultry, beef, and pork. Along the way, we delved into the art of butchering, uncovering the secrets to handpicking the most exquisite cuts. Our creative instincts led us to employ geometric high and wide angles, capturing the magnificence of each protein slab in its entirety. Spending a memorable afternoon with the skillful butchers and the proud owner of Janetos Suprette in Dover, New Hampshire, was an absolute delight that left us craving for more.

This timeless dining spot is widely recognized and cherished, known for its weekly menu specials and enchanting seasonal musical concerts.

During an unforgettable afternoon, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the welcoming ambiance of Jonathans. We got to know the dedicated staff, including the talented kitchen team, and meticulously photographed the iconic menu items. Our chosen setting was a particular dining area bathed in the soft, ethereal glow of natural garden light. Against the backdrop of pristine white linen tablecloths, we captured a table set with elegance and anticipation, ready to offer a memorable dining experience.

Between each carefully styled food arrangement, we took the time to photograph the intricate details of a neighboring table setting.
