Last summer, we had the pleasure of visiting Crescent Beach in Maine to partake in a truly unique walking processional musical concert along the shore, presented by the organization Vigorous Tenderness. Described as an immersive outdoor concert series that amplifies marginalized voices in classical music and democratizes new/experimental music, Vigorous Tenderness provided a truly remarkable experience. We are delighted to share one of the many images we captured, which vividly documents the resounding success of this captivating public art event.
In this photo: hundreds of community members, neighbors, strangers, and friends gathering with a shared purpose—to stroll along the Maine shore, feeling the gentle sand beneath our feet and the refreshing ocean breeze on our faces, while being serenaded by meticulously curated live music. None of us departed from this enchanting experience unchanged; we were all spellbound.
As audience members, we were utterly captivated by the dedication and individuality showcased at each music station, as well as the immense talent displayed by the musicians who wholeheartedly poured their souls into their performances for us and the sea.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to everyone involved in making these moments so incredibly special. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to attend one of these concerts, we wholeheartedly encourage you to do so. You won't want to miss out on the transformative magic that awaits.
On May 20th, the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine in Portland, Maine was transformed into a dazzling display of gold and glitter, marking the centennial celebration of the Children’s Theatre, lovingly known as Maddy’s Theatre. The evening was made even more special with the presence of esteemed guests connected to the theater's namesake, Maddy Corson, Reba Askari, and Barbee Gilman, who were honored with heartfelt gifts in the hallowed halls of Maddys Theatre. As Cyle and Liz Davenport of Convinced Photography, we were privileged to capture the essence of this extraordinary event.
The event was hosted by the talented Executive Director, Julie Butcher Pezzino, and the charismatic Chris Costa of News Center Maine, who served as the evening's Masters of Ceremonies. The program unfolded with a delightful cocktail hour, followed by a captivating theater performance featuring Bondeko, Viva, and the renowned Adam Gardner of Guster. Throughout the museum, guests were treated to enchanting plays, delectable food, lively animations, and the chance for adults to experience the cherished spaces that hold a special place in every child's heart.
This glittering gold evening was a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering support and care that has sustained the Children's Theatre over the years. It was an opportunity for the community of Portland to come together and celebrate the theater's enduring legacy and the anticipation of future endearing productions. As we look back on this remarkable occasion, we are thrilled to share a glimpse of the magical moments we captured through our lens, preserving the joy and enchantment that filled the air that night.
We wanted to share a few of our most favorite moments celebrating all of the people that work in Portland and make it such a great place to be! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We spent a great afternoon with the folks at Westwood in San Francisco, California. We got to hang out with the team to create an interactive virtual tour of the entire space. We also created beautiful bright images of the different spaces including a mechanical bull (check out the tour). It was a great time and we're so very excited to share the images and Google virtual tour with you now.
