Here are few of our favorite holiday displays we photographed for 2019.

We are about to head out tonight and photograph all of the joyful holiday window displays throughout downtown Portland, Maine.

Portland Downtown’s Holiday Window Display Contest is an annual start to the festivities each holiday season. Every year we partner with Portland Downtown as their holiday photographers and have found the joy of the holiday season every time. Each window is so thoughtfully decorated and fun. Portland glows with the abundance of art and creativity.

Tonight we will stroll around downtown and photograph all of the creativity placed in each window. Being part of the holiday window contest has now become Convinced Photography’s holiday tradition and puts us in a jolly holiday mood every year.

There is great value for a retail space to update their photographs on a regular basis. Retailers are always on top of the ever changing trends and are continually updating their product inventory with new styles.

As retail photographers we make sure that we tell the accurate story of the retail space. We create a collection of images that take us on a visual journey from the front door, the overall mood of the space, and the details of the products available.

The images tell us who the retailer is, what they have inside their shop, and they become the first step in communicating with the world through all of the popular social media platforms. Our images are used as the seasonal visual representation of the retail space, and can be used from being placed on their website, Google business page, fb, ig, and so much more.

We have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Carol + Brett, owners of The B & C Floor Store in Portsmouth, New Hampshire over the last several years. They are such a delight to work for and always surprise us with new interior décor items. They are on top of all the trends, always! Personally I am so intimidated by floral art and completely overtaken every time I walk into a florist. All inhibitions are lost and my desire to purchase every blossom and bring them home with me is all I can think about. Inspiration is so easily found in the color, shapes, and fragrance of each stem that is ready to brighten up a space and a person's heart.

No one walks out of a floral shop in a bad mood because it is such a beautiful place and it is filled with so much potential to give. And it’s a joy to give!

The entire purpose of a floral shop is to bring an added beauty to this world. Gifting a bouquet is to offer a spot of encouragement or a symbol of love to dwell in overall ordinary space. That ordinary space suddenly transforms and brightens up everyone's day. Plants are powerful mood boosters.

At Bangor Floral, I spent a bit more time photographing all of their goodies. There are plants and blossoms in every corner and I am so in love. Look at all the colors. Needless to say, retail photography is so much fun, and on a day like this, I really am so grateful to be a photographer.

One of the most important parts of the photography session is to capture the exteriors. The restaurant industry has experienced a lot of highs and lows this year. It has been a great joy to work with restaurant owners during this time and to be a photographic witness of their resilience and creativity through this ever evolving season.

Most chefs can open any fridge or pantry and create the most magnificent feast from the simplest ingredients. So it is of no surprise that the restaurant world can take the present circumstances however great or challenging and still create something so beautiful from it all. It's like it’s in their DNA or something. Creating beautiful menu items in the midst of some of our most troubling times. Keeping us happy with great treats to take home, enjoy outdoors, and to not have to cook! Yay!

It makes what we do as photographers so rewarding. We get to tell the story of the restaurant and the completed dish. Knowing so many of their patrons are going to be enticed by even more of their beautiful kitchen creations and enjoy all of the fulfilling goodness.

One of my favorite ways to photograph brunch menu items is in natural glorious sunlight. The sun spotlights all of the detail in each item placed on the plate and just makes it pop. From sweet strawberries to crispy bacon it all shines for us in these images. When it comes time for a pet lover to take their furry loved one to the vet there are lots of factors to consider. Factors like, are they professional, qualified, clean, and kind. As photographers we love to work with veterinary offices that care so much about their furry patients and their caretakers that they do their best to make them feel comfortable before they even come in to their appointment. The photographs we create show a bit more than what the caretaker might even witness. It’s important for us to photograph and show the details of the patients experience and safety. Most importantly, we love to show off the unique attention to details this veterinary office has created to show that they care for your pet and always will.
